Our Mission
Reinforce Christian values from the Christian home to the Christian classroom.
through a warm spiritual atmosphere, quality academics, excellence in fine arts, and development of Christian character.
As a ministry of Bible Baptist Church, we desire to fulfill the commission of our Lord to teach His disciples the commandments of God (Matthew 28:19-20).
MCA agrees to assist Christian parents in meeting their biblical responsibility to train their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).. As an extension of the local church and the Christian home, our school assists parents in giving each student a thorough Christian education as each subject is taught within the parameters and principles of the Word of God.
Four Pillars
MCA looks to four major pillars that govern everything we do. Our goal is to minister to the needs of the whole child and to promote his/her spiritual and moral growth, academic and intellectual progress, and physical and social development toward the goal of Christ-likeness. We realize the magnitude of this challenge, and we are dedicated to the task.
MCA Statement of FaithSpiritual Excellence
We are committed to cultivating spiritual excellence within our student body. Our goal is to be a discipleship-focused ministry where Christian young people are equipped to develop a biblical worldview and apply it faithfully in every area of their lives.
Academic Excellence
MCA believes in traditional educational procedures and emphasizes building a strong academic foundation. Students are challenged to work independently and to think for themselves as they build convictions that will stand under the pressures of our modern culture.
Fine Arts
We want our young people to sharpen their skills in speech, art, and music. Growing in these areas will enable the young people to use their talents in their local churches for a lifetime of service to the Lord.
Christian Character
Our guidelines and policies are based on biblical convictions (love God) that enable the school to function well (love neighbor). Weekly chapel services and daily Bible classes are dedicated to sharing God’s Word with our students, and each academic class is taught from a biblical perspective.
Home
Parents are to bring their children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and students are to honor their parents (Eph. 6).
➕Church
Our church and Christian school work in partnership with the home to achieve the shared goal of leading children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and nurturing them in biblical values.
➕School
In loco parentis is a Latin phrase meaning “in place of the parent.” Matthews Christian Academy is an extension of—but not a substitute for—the home and the church.

I spent all 14 of my school years at this school. I was loved by the staff and taught well—prepared for life and for further education.
MCA is a great Christian school and has been a blessing for our son. The staff care about the students and teach the Bible effectively. Good values are taught and there are many fun opportunities for students to express themselves. Thank you, MCA!
Great leadership team and intentional development of students through their daily classes and interactions. A worthy investment whether a student is in elementary school or high school.
We absolutely love Matthews Christian Academy! This is our second year there, after starting in the three-year-old class. All the teachers I’ve met are wonderful, and the leadership is great. I am impressed with how the teachers work to meet the needs of each and every child. The Christian program is excellent, and MCA does a great job of integrating it with everything the students do. We toured many CMS schools—including several extremely popular magnets—and no other school came close. We are so happy with our choice! No other school can compare to the closeness and strong family connections MCA has and strives to keep.
Parents can get an education for their children at any school. At MCA, they get an education and much more. Our children were taught math, science, history, grammar, and many other subjects. They had opportunities to participate in scholastic, sports, and fine arts competitions. But most importantly, they were taught and coached by godly teachers and coaches who pour themselves into the lives of their students. Whether it was a class in world history or a coaching opportunity on the court, our children were taught how to apply God’s Word in their lives. As parents, we were delighted to hear examples of this from our children, and we appreciate how their lives were impacted by learning from teachers who exemplify the school’s motto: Challenge Minds. Pursue Truth. Serve Others.
Matthews Christian Academy has been changing lives for decades, one student at a time—including mine! I had no idea as a student that the lessons I learned would prepare me for a life of full-time ministry. I am thankful for the foundational truths and academics instilled in me by a caring faculty and staff. I recommend MCA 100%!
